I recently moved into a new house. Well, new meaning it is a house that was built in 1992 and I bought it. The house has upgrades like triple-pane Pella Windows and super-high efficiency furnace. However, whenever I flush the toilets I feel like as being at the Niagara Falls. Somewhere between 3.5 to 5 gallons of water are rushing down the toilet - no matter how big or small the job is. In 1994 the US Government released new limits for how much water a toilet can use, but the ones in my new house are definitely a reason why these new limits were put into place. So, while I am green in regards to the windows and the furnace I definitely need to work on the toilets.

A visit to my local Lowe's warehouse shows a variety of options. The sales clerk is actually very well educated and shares a lot of knowledge about toilets. He even mentions that there are quite a few rebate programs available and that I should definitely check before buying. I am "settling" on a single flush toilet due to dual-flush toilets being way too expensive (unreasonably expensive in my opinion). However, the toilet is top rated and exceeds all the minimum standards with ease - meaning it is one of the best they have available. I take note of the model and manufacturer and research this toilet. In the end I do qualify for a $ 75.00 rebated per toilet.

Water saving toilets are a good thing to put into your house. For one it increases the resale value if you ever wanted to sell your house. Second it saves you a lot of money in the long run. And third - by using a rebate and a store coupon you can keep the initial investment fairly low. Think about it - you might get 1% - 2% interest at your bank for your money. 2 Toilets with tax will run you approx. $ 400 when installing them yourself (it's easy to do). Each toilet will probably save you somewhere between $ 30 - $ 50 per year or roughly 10%. This amount might vary a little bit, but these are numbers you find on manufacturer provided information as well as on government websites or the website of your water company that serves your area. So, your ROI (Return on Investment) is pretty high. It is also a save investment as toilets usually last decades. And as mentioned, water saving toilets will increase the resale value of your home. If you read home descriptions of houses being up for sale, rarely you will find listings that mention water savings or energy efficiency. Conclusion: we usually do not spend a lot of time on the toilet. It's "dirty business" so to speak. However, a toilet is responsible for a large portion of your water bill and it definitely pays to replace older toilets with high efficiency, water saving toilets.

I want to make a spark generator much like a Tesla coil or a marx generator but i do not know how to go about it. can anyone give me a list of things that I need and detailed instructions. it also has to be cheap but still create a decent sized spark

if you do not even know the parts that goes into a Tesla coil it's not a very good idea building one, as it can be very dangerous, Specially the capacitors. A less benign thing you could do is make an ignition coil driver. look in the internet you will be able to find a simple one with a 555 chip and a power transistor that will give out about 3 cm arcs.

Tesla was a genius. Able to power a car for weeks that was run on an A/C motor, with no power source. Just a little box with rods coming out of it. Many of his inventions are in use today by the military. And yes, it is entirely possible that theory could work.
